By Q3 2022, the Singapore-based insurtech business hopes to introduce its product in the island nation. Toward the end of the year, it also hopes to expand into Malaysia and Indonesia.

Even though the gross merchandise value of Southeast Asian e-commerce is predicted to double by 2025, insurance penetration is still low and can be a significant differentiator for retailers, according to Anycover co-founder and CEO Bharadwaj Ogirala.

The 10-person Anycover team was established in 2021 by BharadwAj and co-founder Jan Rothkegel.
